Our team recently held an informative and community support session for 36 Romani women in the village of Petrovyrivka.
During the event, our specialists led sessions focused on key issues like:
• building self-esteem, taking care of health, and dealing with stress;
• understanding gender-based violence, how to prevent it, and what to do if it happens.
The women also had the chance to receive one-on-one legal and psychological support.
At the end of the session, participants received “Dignity Kits” filled with essentials for those going through difficult life situations.
The women expressed their gratitude and emphasized how important these kinds of initiatives are for them, their families, and their community.
We remain committed to supporting Romani women’s empowerment and creating safe, inclusive spaces for all.
The event was part of the “Sustainable Development and Self-Realization Program for Romani Women, Youth, and Children of Odesa Region,” supported by HIAS and Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA).
