Participants of the lecture “The Roma path: from slavery to political recognition” at the library together with speaker Serhii Yermoshkin.
The lecture “The Roma path: from slavery to political recognition” gathered those who care about Roma history to talk about memory, rights, and political inclusion.

The lecture “The Roma path: from slavery to political recognition” was an important event for preserving historical memory.

Today, the team of the NGO “Roma Rights Center” joined this meaningful educational event, led by Serhii Yermoshkin, the head of the regional Roma national-cultural society Bakhtalo Darom.

The event shed light on the difficult but essential history of the Roma people — a topic that remains relevant today.

🔹 Participants learned more about the painful past: slavery, discrimination, displacement, and erasure.

🔹 Special attention was given to emancipation processes, the fight for political recognition, and the vision of a dignified future for the Roma community.

This gathering became not only a source of knowledge, but also a reminder of the power of memory, the strength of community, and the need to protect the rights and dignity of every person.

🤝 We sincerely thank Serhii Yermoshkin for his heartfelt and informative lecture that inspired further educational and advocacy work.
