Gender equality in action: presentation of the Gender Working Group in Odesa

The Roma Human Rights Center participated in an important meeting in Odesa, together with women’s rights organizations and women-led initiatives. The event focused on addressing gender-related challenges in the humanitarian sphere, sharing experiences, and exploring new opportunities for cooperation.

Participants discussed the 2025 agenda and objectives of the Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group, the regional needs in Odesa, and the potential to launch a local working platform. UN Women representatives shared insightful data and analysis.

The event fostered an atmosphere of openness, idea exchange, and collaboration. The informal networking during the coffee break strengthened community ties, proving that impactful change happens through joint efforts.
