Protection of military personnel rights: meeting of experts and civil society

A key event dedicated to the protection of the rights of military personnel, veterans, and their families took place in Odesa, bringing together legal experts, state representatives, and public organizations.
Among the main speakers:
▪️ Mariia Popova — Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Odesa region, who outlined the work of the Expert Council and emphasized the role of the Ombudsman in protecting service members’ rights;
▪️ Representatives of the regional Veterans Office (Popova / Fisiukov), who presented support mechanisms for military families;
▪️ NGO “Veterans HUB ODESA” — with Mykola Storozhuk sharing practical experience in implementing veteran policies and social initiatives;
▪️ Vadym Zhepalо — from the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, spoke about their ongoing challenges and areas of action.
Participants actively shared experience, addressed urgent issues, and discussed effective solutions for strengthening the protection system for those who defend Ukraine.
The event became another important step toward building a sustainable support system for Ukrainian defenders.
