Roma Day: historical memory and creative unity

Youth explore Roma movement history during a community event hosted by the Human Rights Roma Center.

As part of efforts to promote civic awareness and cultural identity, the Human Rights Roma Center organized a thematic event that combined historical education with creative interaction.

The program included a historical overview of key milestones in the Roma movement, symbols such as the flag and anthem, and engaging activities like the “Because… but…” exercise and improvisational sketches. Participants expressed themselves freely in a supportive environment, fostering trust, acceptance, and inspiration. The event showed how cultural initiatives can strengthen communities and inspire youth to participate in civic life.
